While the History of Montessori began with the highly respected educator, Maria Montessori, herself, over a century ago, The creation of our Gateway Montessori of Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado, United States, began in the late 1900’s.

Recently, I had the special opportunity to speak with one of Gateway’s founding members, of Longmont, Colorado, for an interesting interview. As a parent of a Montessori student with a healthy love of education personally, I was so curious to find out some of how our wonderful Gateway School of today, had first come into being.
